Huge Graph

Today we were able to graph our results!
We went in the gym and started our graph.
The students loved all having a turn to put a few sheets on the graph.

Presentations and Voting

We started the day with Mrs. Erickson and the Half Day Kindergarten students watching all three presentations with the 4th grade and then having those students vote on their favorite animal.  Each grade got to come in today and see all of the presentations with both full day kindergarten classes (Mrs. DeVries and Mrs. Neuman classes)  and voted.  We will find out on Thursday which animal got the most votes.  Who will win?  The Red Panda, the Eastern Black Rhino, or the Snow Leopard.  We will have to wait and see!!!

Students watching the presentations (Kindergarten movies)  :)
The Half Day Kindergarten students passed out the ballots and every student voted.

The students voted and the Kindergarten classes will count the votes on Thursday.

It was a fun day presenting our Kindergaren movies for the other grades.  We hope they liked them!!!

Kindergarten Movies

Here are the three kindergarten videos.  Mrs. Erickson's Half Day Kindergarden made their video about the Eastern Black Rhino.  Mrs. DeVries' class made their movie about the Snow Leopard and Mrs. Neuman's class was the Red Panda.  We will show the videos to the upper grades and the school will vote on one animal to adopt.  All of the money that is donated from the trail mix and penny war will be donated to that animal at the Sioux Falls Zoo.

Penny War Buckets

Each Kindergarten Class decorated ice cream buckets for the Penny War.

Great job of working together!

We are decorating these buckets to put in each classroom.

The classroom with the most money will win a small party.

All of the money will go for our endangered animals.  Help us save the animals!

Finding Facts

We are working with our high school partners to find important information about the Red Panda.
The kindergarten students and their high school partners are
doing research about the Red Panda for our presentation.

We researched on the computer.

We wrote down the infomation we found.

The Kindergarten even got to try and help find the information.

Everyone did a great job helping each other.

It was fun getting to work with the high schoolers.

This is a picture of all of us working.

Here is another class working with their high school partners.

Making Posters

Our classes have been working with some high school students this week. The high school students were helping them to research the animal their class selected and then they are helping them make a video. They also helped them to make posters to hang up around the school with what they learned.

Making a poster about the Red Panda was fun!

We used our markers to make our posters colorful so everyone could see them.

Here are a few of the posters.

The kindergarten and their high school partners got to hang
them around the school.
